One cannot simply stand in the Nubuke Wa building and not ask themselves the question; What is this place? There is something very airy about this building – Designed to Host training and development to the community and planning to hold residencies in the future. It’s a huge step and an exciting moment to see the thought being put into the developing of the arts, craft and the community in Wa. It must be love.

The three Co-founders of Nubuke Foundation and the roles they are playing in Wa.

Odile Tevie

Odile had a love Affair with Wa the minute she arrived there for the first time in 2010. She was wooed by the colours and textures she saw in and around the town. Teased by the markets and their people with their indigenous and unique offerings. She sensed a movement was brewing and she immediately began plotting the plan to take part in the Development of the Weaving industry in Wa.


Kofi Setordji

Kofi jumped in with full force as he began to dig deep into the study of Weaving and spent time with the weavers to physically learn the trade. As a result, Kofi began to develop systems that would compliment the current Practice and Propel it into its next innovative stage of variety, standardisation and uniqueness.

Tutu Agyare

Tutu has been instrumental in weaving the way forward for the future. His Investment Portfolio, Nubuke Investments didnt think twice before making ready to give wings to the Wa Project. The Building was built with some of the best building experts to date and currently stands Sharp in the Fields of Loho. Wa. “When you stand in the Nubuke Wa Building. The Feeling that one gets is that of ‘Breathing Space’ . Tutu’s Constant support has given us that space to breath.
